The story features apects of Noragamai and made up information It is said that eight million Gods travel between the far shore(world of the spirits) and near shore(world of the mortals). These Gods exist to grant wishes of the humans whether they are good or bad wishes, and fight Ayakashi(Phantoms). There are also pure spirits called Shinki who serve the Gods as weapons/Clothing/Items and the Gods bestow a name on the Shinki. Each God is called to an ideal or belief and often find them on opposing sides to other Gods, competing or even fighting one another to complete this idea.
